Peiseler indexing devices for tool manufacturing

Tools from bar stock, as a one-off or a serial part

Peiseler multi-axis indexing devices, some with integrated spindles, are used in tool manufacturing. The priorities here are a high-quality surface finish, short retooling times and maximum output. Bar stocks are used as the raw material. A finished product can be produced through six-sided machining of the bar stocks in a single operation. Alternatively, indexing devices can be built to your specifications with integrated tool supports. These hold the rough-machined tools ready for further machining. The tool support has the identical construction to the support in the machine tool spindle that the tool will be used in once sold. This set-up ensures the desired high level of product accuracy. Integrated and swivelling steady rests and centring tips provide stabilisation against vibrations during tool manufacturing.

In the TGW series, a fourth axis is added to the tool changing tables. This enables the customer to use clamping plates for three-sided machining, without needing to reclamp the workpiece – reducing retooling times and boosting workpiece precision. In positioning applications, we prefer to deploy worm gear sets; in highly dynamic simultaneous machining applications, we install direct drives. With our optional rotary manifold media supply, we provide an important component for workpiece clamping devices and automated machine tooling applications.
